I am literally the every fan. I grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. My parents introduced me to the world of professional athletics at a very young age. When the “Bless you, Boys!” Tigers of the mid-eighties were in full swing, to the “Bad Boys” Pistons of the early 90′s, to my own endeavors on the field of play, sports have been an integral part of shaping my character. The only discussion more heated than sports, is religion and politics, and although still trailing, it is not far behind. My hope is that this collection of thoughts proves insightful, honest, and entertaining. Thanks so much for checking out this blog, and to the sporting world for being nothing short of fascinating. ~Josh Sanders

Josh,
As a novice but avid sports followers I/We look forward to reading and learning as much as time will allow through your observations and comments. With all the changes in college football coming “where you can’t tell a player without a scorecard” we will be watching for your updates with interest. Keep up the good work!!!!!

Finally had a little extra time so I checked out the blog. I read a little but considering I hear your ramblings every time we talk on the phone, I didn’t feel the need to dive to deeply into your rhetoric. Needless to say, you certainly have a passionate voice for sports and I think it’s about time you put it out there for others to read. It’s well written, compelling, and at the very least informative. It’s not the most poignant, but then again it is sports which even you mention as trailing behind religion and politics in heated debate. Overall I think it’s great. I realize the blogging website probably does most of the design and layout work for you (that’s the problem with blogs) so that is why I’m not overly critical of the drab, list-like layout of the page. Although it seems you have circumvented the issue with logos, pictures, other personal touches, and tabs, which make navigation and topic selection easy and convenient. Having said all that I hope you continue to update regularly and find ways to attract people to read your thoughts, opinions, and sports reporting. Anyone can have a blog but only a few find a following. You most definitely have a voice to be heard in this arena and you can be sure that I will be subscribing to Sanders on Sports! Most notably I love the catch phrase, “The world of sports from the cheap seats!”
Love it. We all know you have way too many opinions to keep to yourself, I’m glad you found an outlet. Excited to hear more of what you have to say.
Amen to that!! LOL!!! Although, now I think I will be hearing it & also reading it, but that’s ok…it’s a good thing I love sports myself! I don’t think the Blog will be your only outlet now…as long as you still have others’ ears to listen to you, you’re going to talk to anyone who’s willing to hear and you definitely have a way of keeping the attention of those who listen. But thank God you know (just about…LOL!! Just kidding) everything that comes to sports and is the only person I know who keeps up with everything sports related. This is certainly a good way to be heard. You have so much to say and for the longest…not enough ears to hear you out! There is nothing you can’t do, I’ve come to learn! That being said, I’m proud of you for jumping at such an awesome opportunity to get YOUR word out there…I’m quite confident it will not be long before you have a huge fan-following!
You are definitely the “Rain Man” of sports and the many players involved! You know things about my favorite teams & the people of those teams before I do! LOL!! I think I’ve only caught you off-guard once by knowing something before you and it was when Ken Griffey, Jr. retired! I guess you’ve finally rubbed off on me…sports radio is where the dial is set even in my own vehicle! LOL!!
I enjoy reading your blogs and look forward to future postings…this is going to be a good thing for you! It’s only a matter of time before I’ll be hearing your voice on one of the sports radio shows, if not your very own, one day in the future.
So with that being said…even though you’ve already started…I feel it only appropriate to say…”Let the Games Begin!”
